How does the Nebraska Tourism Byway Passport Program Work?
Q: Where do tourists get a passport?
A: Tourists can get their Nebraska Byways Passport at one of 27 locations located along Nebraska’s nine scenic byways. The list of destinations is at the end of this memo for your convenience.
Q: What does a traveler do once they get a passport?
A: When a traveler stops at a location, that location will place a stamp next to its name on both the souvenir page (for the traveler to keep) and a stamp on a tear-out sheet located at the back of the passport (for the traveler to return to the Division at the end of the summer to be entered into prize drawings.) Participating locations have already received their special stamp.
Q: What do we do if we run out of passports?
A: Representatives from each byway have extra passports. Contact them to restock your supply.
Q: What are the prizes?
A: If the passport has nine stamps, travelers get a Nebraska byways t-shirt; 18 stamps, a digital photo frame; and 27 stamps, a flip video camera. Prizes will be distributed while supplies last. All players will be entered in a grand prize drawing for a laptop computer valued at 1,000, to be drawn in October, 2010. Participants will get one entry into the grand prize drawing for every nine stamps on the passport.
Q: Where can travelers get more information about the program and see the passport?
A: There is a red graphic on the front page of www.VisitNebraska.gov that says “Passport Program.” Tourists and industry members can click here to see a PDF of the passport and get all the information listed in this FAQ.
Q: What does a traveler do when the passport is complete?
A:Stamped tear-out pages must be redeemed for prizes by September 30, 2010. Photocopies will not be accepted. Tear-out pages will not be returned. At the conclusion of your travels, mail the tear-out page to: Snitily Carr, Attn: Lindsey, 300 S. 68th Street Place, Lincoln, NE 68510. Please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery of prizes.
